Hello, world!
That's what coders use to test code. In this case though, I'm really just putting it out there because i've really never built myself a website before. I dabbled when I was younger on h2g2 (Think hitchhiker's guide, literally, but the earth edition. Kind of like Wikipedia.) but I never really had huge aspirations to be a web designer. Honestly it's a frustration these days that most "apps" are just web browsers loading their service in electron.
But I digress... welcome to my first post. My intention is to chronicle my journey here into romhacking. Along the way I hope to provide some technical insights into Metal Gear Solid, how it works and is structured on disk, and then also discuss my journey hacking into this classic to replace the Japanese subtitles.
I'm actively working on this, but I'll do some flashbacks to my starts with the project, how i tackled the basics, and the fun road bumps along the way. Personally, I have this weird fetish for taking things I love apart and seeing how they work. A mentor actually remarked at how much frustration I brought him undoing all his excel work just to teach myself how it worked, and struggling to put it back together.
If you're a romhacking enthusiast, or you share my love of taking things apart and seeing how they work, stay tuned. The Best Is Yet To Come.
